Tidewater Academy is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, non-profit day
school offering preschool through twelfth grade.
STATEMENT OF MISSION
Tidewater
Academy provides its students a college-preparatory educational
foundation that fosters a lifelong love of learning, while instilling
the core values of family, community, and good citizenship, best
preparing them for the challenges of an ever-changing world. HONOR CODE
The
honor system at Tidewater Academy is not so much a set of rules, it is
a way of living. Lying, cheating, stealing, and the breaking of one's
word are considered violations of the Honor Code. Furthermore, each
student is expected to observe complete honesty in all matters and to
assume responsibility in cases in which honor is violated. The code
also assumes that every student is concerned with the strict observance
of these principles for his/her own sake, for the sake of his/her
fellow students, and for the sake of Tidewater Academy. Vincit Veritas
